Why Wildwoodz?

Wildwoodz in owned and operated by Manitobas own, Marty Vergata. As a toddler Marty was introduced to hunting by the late Chester Schofield who was recognized as one of the best Waterfowl hunters in the world. Marty himself has achieved the Silver award from the Manitoba Big Game Association, holding a trophy for 3 different species in North America. It's no doubt that Marty has a huge passion for hunting and with over 35 years of hunting experience, he has become one of the most prolific big game hunters and outdoorsmen in North America.

As Martys interest and experience grew in hunting, so did his understanding that having the proper hunting garments is one of the most essential tools a hunter can have. The more extreme his hunting trips became the more frustrated he got with trying to find the proper garment for upper Canada's extreme hunting climates and environments. Since his family already owned a longstanding company that designed, tailored and manufactured designer dress suits and tuxedos, In the late 80's Marty began to apply this knowledge to making custom hunting garments and set out to design various suits and systems that were soft, quiet, lightweight, breathable, durable, windproof, waterproof, flexible and most importantly, dependable. Sitting in a wet ditch, with a chilly north wind at his back was no longer a problem. Zippers that got caught and stuck in -30 degree weather were no longer an issue. Having to lug through the bush in a sweaty, heavy and stiff hunting suit was no longer a factor. Every time Marty found an aspect of the climate or environment that posed a problem, he came up with something new that would meet his needs. His ability to understand the agility needed from his suit aided vastly in his hunting experience. Wildwoodz is now able to bring the hunter/outdoorsman any type of suit required to meet their specific needs, be it for a dry and warm hunting experience to a wet, winding, freezing and rugged environment.

Wildwoodz is not just your average garment manufacturer. Instead it was created and continues to grow out of the passion for extreme hunting and outdoors. What better way to design a hunting suit made specially for Canada's extreme outdoors, than being designed by one of Canada's most extreme outdoorsman. Wildwoodz is always on the look-out for new designs and improvements. We have also tested many of our competitors suits in the field to see how our own product compares. Our goal is to bring the hunter a system that suits the climate and environments needs so that he/she is fully equipped with comfort, stealth and agility in the field.
